Limited Warranty

Ontario Aluminum & Glass (the "manufacturer") warrants its sealed units, 3 ¼ inch vinyl window, 4 ½ inch vinyl window, and 4 inch aluminum window and door products as follows:

  1. Manufacturer warrants that the products sold will be free from defects in workmanship for a period of (1) year from the date of purchase.

  2. Manufacturer warrants that the products sold will be free of defects in material for a period of twenty (20) years from the date of purchase.

  3. Manufacturer warrants the sealed units from seal failure for period of (5) years from date of purchase.

 If the products do not conform to this Limited Warranty during the warranty period the Buyer shall notify the Manufacturer in writing of the claimed defects and demonstrate to the Manufacturers satisfaction that said defects are covered by this Limited Warranty.  If defects are properly reported to the manufacturer within the warrantee period, and the defects are of such type and nature as to be covered by this warrantee, the manufacturer shall at its own expense, furnish replacement products or at Manufacturers option replacement parts for defective products.  Shipping and installation of the replacement parts shall be at the buyer’s expense.

 

Limited Warranty Exclusions

The following are excluded from coverage under this limited warranty:

  1. Damages or defects arising from improper or abnormal use or handling of the products.

  2. Damages or defects arising from improper installation (where installation is by persons other than the manufacturer).

  3. Products or components not manufactured by the manufacturer or damages resulting from such non-manufacturer made products or components.  Ontario Aluminum & Glass passes on to the buyer the warranty it receives from the manufacturer thereof, of such non-manufacturer made products or components.  

  4. Damages or defects arising from normal occurrences such as gradual fading of vinyl surfaces, an accumulation of dirt or stains due to sunlight exposure, air pollutants and normal atmospheric conditions.

  5. Condensation which can occur as a result of temperature fluctuations or as a natural result of humidity.

  6. Any product to which repairs or modifications have been performed or attempted by persons other than those specified and pursuant to written authorization by the manufacturer.

  7. Broken glass or torn screen.

  8. Damages or defects arising from exposure to harmful chemicals or pollutants, accidents, extreme weather conditions, negligence, or any other acts of God.

  9. Any oral or written statements made by the manufacturer’s employees or representatives cannot be deemed a part of the contract for sale or this Limited Warranty
